Summer Competition 2026
Imagine walking into Pots of Love this summer and seeing shelves filled with woodland scenes, honey pots, bees, animals, mugs, plates and creative masterpieces inspired by Ashdown Forest.
That's exactly what we're hoping to create.
Join us for The Big 100 – Inspired by Ashdown Forest and help us fill the studio with creativity throughout the July and August summer Holidays.

Making your own Pottery
We have a great selection of textured rollers, stamps and carving tools. Hand build your own mugs, jugs or plates.....

Summer Workshop 2026 - Beach Hut £30
Workshop for all levels
Build your own Beach Hut / Dad's Shed etc.
Fully tutored session on the build. All materials provided.
We then dry and fire the clay for you to return to paint about 2 weeks later, when it will be hand glazed and fired again.

Summer Workshop 2026 - Games Board - £20pp
Forget screens, go back in time and create your very own Naughts and Crosses game board - can be anything you want - we will demonstrate the basics and then you decide on the characters and style

Make your own 'Hunny' Pot - £20pp
As part of the The Big 100 – Inspired by Ashdown Forest , we are running handbuilding workshops to build a hunny pot. This is a fully tutored workshop using coils and moulding clay shapes. This is suitable for ages 9+. The first session will be the building of the pot, then return to paint when the clay has been fired. £20 per person.

Make a fun wreath - £25pp
Wreaths are not just for Christmas - we can show you haw to make a seasonal wreath to fit any occasion, turn it into a table candle wreath or something to cheer up your bathroom..... Ages 12+ - Two session workshop - the first will be the makimng, then the piece is firecd and you return to paint 2-3 weeks later
Tuesday 4th August - 09:30am
Depict the Ashdown Landscape- £25pp
Imprint local / home foliage and flowers into a clay slab and make into a Landscape ornament. We will show you how to prepare the clay and imprint your images. This is then fired and you can return to paint or leave as a natural white lansdcape.

This workshop is aimed at 16 years +
A fun, hands-on handbuilding in clay session, fully guided by our expert tutor. Learn new skills, get creative, and make something truly unique to take home and treasure.

Easter Clay Workshops - 2025
We are offering fully tutored clay sessions - minimum age 8 years + for the animal head wall hanging and 10 years + for the Gnomes and Gonks
Examples can be seen in the studio.
Made from slab earthenware clay, the pieces will be hand-formed and set together to make unique fun ornaments
The wet clay will be painted during the same session.
The objects will then be dried, glazed and fired.
This will take about three weeks
