HISTORY OF POTS OF LOVE

After the pandemic of 2020, and the forced halt of a Marine conservation course in Mexico, Fran was looking for a new challenge. So, in May 2022, Fran took over Kilnwood Studio as 'Pots of Love'. 

Although Fran had not run a shop / retail business before, the opportunity to manage this creative outlet was exciting and worth the steep learning curve.  Training courses followed, and the doors opened. New decor, new slip molds, paints and an additional kiln were purchased to develop the services offered to customers.

However, after many marketing attempts and advertising to boost the footfall, it was disappointing that a main comment was still, "We didn't know you were here", plus the kilns were situated in a basement, which meant many trips up and down-stairs with your beautiful pottery.
